Qu\u2019est-ce que tout cela veut dire? Quelques lignes pour percer les myst\u00e8res de nos chauss\u00e9es.<\/strong><\/mark><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Tout a commenc\u00e9 par une travers\u00e9e en voiture de la France, entre Lausanne et la Bretagne. Il pleuvait \u00e0 verse: des hallebardes rebondissantes, essuie-glaces \u00e0 fond, visibilit\u00e9 nulle. Impossible d\u00e8s lors de ne pas constater les immenses diff\u00e9rences entre les rev\u00eatements routiers. Enfin, c\u2019est du moins ce que je me suis dit. \u00c7a et l\u00e0, des flaques immenses, sortes de mar\u00e9cages de chauss\u00e9e. Puis, hop, une partie presque s\u00e8che. Ici, \u00e7a perle. L\u00e0, \u00e7a se noie. Sous les roues, \u00e7a vibre, \u00e7a crisse, avant de virer velours lisse. Ces particularit\u00e9s constat\u00e9es de fa\u00e7on empirique. Au final, il y a une destination: comprendre ce long ruban noir sous nos roues. Histoire de ne plus tailler la route b\u00eatement!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>L\u2019expert<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Pour m\u2019aider dans ma qu\u00eate, j\u2019ai sonn\u00e9 \u00e0 la bonne porte. C\u2019est d\u00e9j\u00e0 pas mal. L\u2019homme qui m\u2019a tout expliqu\u00e9 s\u2019appelle <strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-primary-color\">Lionel Guglielminotti<\/mark><\/strong>. Il est sp\u00e9cialiste en rev\u00eatements routiers, \u00e0 la Division entretien de la DGMR, la Direction g\u00e9n\u00e9rale de la mobilit\u00e9 et des routes. Il a les yeux qui brillent quand il parle chauss\u00e9e et roulement, et un d\u00e9licieux accent du sud de la France. Je vous pr\u00e9viens, une route, en fait, ce n\u2019est pas si simple. Et \u00e7a d\u00e9pend. De nombreux facteurs. Il est surmont\u00e9 d\u2019une superstructure, compos\u00e9e de la couche de fondation, d\u2019une couche de base et d\u2019une couche de surface. Ce sont ces trois derni\u00e8res strates qu\u2019on appelle la chauss\u00e9e. Le rev\u00eatement, c\u2019est la surface de roulement. Bref, ce sur quoi on roule et ce qu\u2019on sent, ou non, sous nos roues d\u2019automobiliste, de motard ou de cycliste.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Y a quoi l\u00e0-dedans?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>La couche de fondation est en graves non trait\u00e9es (GNT) 0\/45 mm. \u00abC\u2019est souvent le cas. On peut dire que c\u2019est un standard r\u00e9pandu\u00bb, m\u2019informe Lionel Guglielminotti. Soit des cailloux concass\u00e9s pour devenir des gravillons d\u2019une taille particuli\u00e8re. Ici, le plus gros de ces graviers mesure 45 millim\u00e8tres maximum. \u00abLa couche de base est un enrob\u00e9 bitumineux\u00bb. Hop, on entre dans le vif du sujet!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Combien y a-t-il de types de rev\u00eatements diff\u00e9rents en Suisse?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Ma question, d\u2019une simplicit\u00e9 confondante, a fait rire l\u2019expert. \u00abBeaucoup\u00bb s\u2019est-il gauss\u00e9, gentiment. Et c\u2019est l\u00e0 que tout se corse. Il existe un nombre vertigineux d\u2019enrob\u00e9s. Ils r\u00e9pondent aux doux noms de AC, AC MR, AC B, AC T, AC EME, et tant d\u2019autres encore. AC, c\u2019est pour Asphalt Concrete.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ce que cela veut dire, c\u2019est que l\u2019enrob\u00e9 se compose de sable, de granulats, de bitume (un m\u00e9lange d\u2019hydrocarbure), de fillers et d\u2019\u00e9ventuels additifs. Par exemple pour passer d\u2019un enrob\u00e9 chaud, \u00e0 150 degr\u00e9s, \u00e0 un enrob\u00e9 ti\u00e8de, d\u2019une temp\u00e9rature inf\u00e9rieure d\u2019une trentaine de degr\u00e9s, afin d\u2019am\u00e9liorer ses propri\u00e9t\u00e9s environnementales. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Enjeux environnementaux<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Car, qui dit temp\u00e9rature d&rsquo;enrobage moindre, dit dispersion plus faible des polluants dans l&rsquo;atmosph\u00e8re. Un exemple? Le PA est un b\u00e9ton bitumineux drainant, pauvre en fillers et en sable. Les vides qui le composent lui donnent un atout certain pour am\u00e9liorer la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 routi\u00e8re sur les chauss\u00e9es mouill\u00e9es des routes \u00e0 grand d\u00e9bit. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 leur pouvoir absorbant, les couches de roulement en b\u00e9ton bitumineux drainant permettent une r\u00e9duction des \u00e9missions sonores pour les grandes vitesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>La liste: les plus et les moins<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Par contre, pas de bol, les PA ne sont gu\u00e8re durables dans certaines circonstances. C\u2019est non, non, non pour les arr\u00eats ou les voies de bus, les routes en altitude ou m\u00eame celles des communes agricoles. Pourquoi? Parce que le PA est sensible aux solvants (ceux du sel utilis\u00e9 pour d\u00e9givrer les routes), aux carburants, aux souillures (la terre transport\u00e9e par les tracteurs) et plus fragile. Les lames de chasse-neige sur un rev\u00eatement drainant, c\u2019est comme un r\u00e2teau dans du beurre. Ou presque, mais vous voyez le concept. D\u2019autres, \u00e0 Sion et \u00e0 Berne, par exemple, se lancent sur des rev\u00eatements de couleur clairs, contenant de la pierre calcaire. Ce nouveau type de rev\u00eatement routier, parfois qualifi\u00e9 de miraculeux, permet d\u2019abaisser la temp\u00e9rature du sol de douze degr\u00e9s et de r\u00e9duire le bruit de huit d\u00e9cibels.
